Come Together
I cannot thank both Louis Arnold Sr. and his son Louis Arnold II for coming to our Mighty Men meeting this past Saturday while sharing their thoughts and joining in the discussion on racial injustice and the role of the Church. Mighty Men, you showed up in a big way this past Saturday! More the 40 men attended this beautiful outdoor, socially distancing event held at Daniel Drake Park. We have attached some videos for everyone to check out.
Lou Sr. passionately shared with our Mighty Men group to “look to the Bible” for the answers to help you address these difficult and uncomfortable questions about racial injustice. Resist the urges to seek convenient opinions out from the far left, far right or quiet middle for the answers to the pain in our nation about social equality. We should seek God’s truth first!
He made the powerful statement “all the diversity training a person receives over the years does not have any lasting effect! Only when the Holy Spirit is called into a person’s heart will real change take place.”
We must prepare ourselves to have these difficult but meaningful conversations with our children, grandchildren, family members, friends and neighbors. Mighty Men, be ready!
Let us all seek to be better listeners, to seek out and ask better questions and remain open to new ideas, an different realities and experiences. Most of all actively seek out and prepare yourself to ask the Holy Spirit into your body, mind and spirit!
God bless the Arnolds for their hearts to serve in our community and to be strong voices for the body of Christ, the Church!
Stay strong and keep doing great things Men!
